Time for a new edition of Making it Yours! By now you’ve probably seen the new IKEA catalog. Did you spot the new Möckelby oak dining table? Super well designed, great proportions, nice trestle detail, and sturdy looking. The kind of table that should last a long time and that can mix in with a variety of styles, and at a great price ($699). So we’re doing it up three different ways!
First up, it’s all about the newest wallpaper design by Julia Rothman for Hygge & West: Foret, in Midnight. Blue lining in the pair of pendant shades over the table would bring in the color a bit more, texture comes in through the dinnerware and a neutral rug, and black flatware and dining chairs ground the space.
For the table’s next look, I’m going to go more glam. Do we have a preference on metal finishes? Are you yearning for a return to cool, silvery finishes, or are you still crazy for gold, brass, and copper?
