Acting Natural

…in photographs takes a lot of work.

We’re in the middle of a photo shoot today! Brandon and I posed (very casually – “turn left, no, more right, tilt your body, lean in, hold it…”) in the library, and the office and studio are being photographed as well. It’s for a September magazine, so I’ll spill the beans when it’s out!

$50 worth of flowers (in 5 vases) has made the house very cheery, by the way.

On My Desk

The photographers have been here since 8 o’clock this morning, and I’m not sure they’re even halfway finished yet! Their photos look amazing though.

I can relate! My company did a photoshoot with me to introduce me to my clients … it was nervewracking. I’m convinced that I’m not photogenic because all my ‘magic’ happens in the third dimension. Looking forward to what this Sept issue may be!

An overdue thanks, btw, for your Web site. I’ve been a fan of your shop and products and this Web site is icing on the cake … I check daily (sometimes several times a day!).

I stalk that Lovely Design card file about every day. I remember when you bought yours and I just couldnt spring for one at the time. I soooo wish I had.

I have to send you one of my lovely new cards to put into it!

    Nicole,
Why am I not surprised that they look lovely! We had some photographs taken of us and the photographer made us run into place which really was great…not a minute to be nervous! I cannot wait to see! Will there be an “American Gothic” type shot of you and Brandon!
    Thanks for your comment!

I love (among numerous other things in your home…) your art work :) That larger print is by The Black Apple, right?

My bf and I have yet to hang much since we bought our home at the beginning of the year. We have some photographs we both love, but are struggling to decide on ‘art’ that makes us both happy.

Nicole, do you ever need to convince Brendan of things, or does he trust you implicitly?

I’m not surprised you are going to be in some big time glossy. Love every moment of it, it’s one of those things you will never forget. I’m so very excited for you.

I knew it would only be a matter of time before your gorgeous home got splashed across a glossy magazine. Very excited for you -well done! It’s such a thrill. An Irish magazine did a small piece on our house a few months ago and it was so surreal for a shelter magazine addict like me to see MY OWN HOME in one! I filled the house with fresh flowers for the shoot too, and once they all withered I got into the 9albeit expensive) habit of keeping the house filled with flowers as often as possible.
