So pretty! I love when people do something out of the norm with holiday decorating. Thumbs up indeed. Can you have your husband have a talk with my husband about the color pink being an acceptable color in our home’s decor?

  27. katieO November 28, 2009 at 12:29 pm #

I was so inspired by that particular cover of Blueprint and I (too) HAD to have a pink tree! About to pull it out and decorate, for the 3rd year in a row! Can’t wait to see what you do with yours!

  28. southern hostess November 28, 2009 at 12:59 pm #

Yes! I’ve wanted a pink tree ever since I saw that issue. You’re an inspiration! :)

  29. April Johnson November 28, 2009 at 1:52 pm #

I always thought about buying a blue tree, but since we’re now painting the walls blue I’m glad I bought a white one. I can’t wait to see your tree decorated. I love how with this pink tree in the magazine it doesn’t have a bunch of crazy doodads, but it doesn’t look empty.

  30. Cheryl November 28, 2009 at 2:00 pm #

Oh yes, oh yes! I loved that cover and have kept the issue for inspiration/reference. Can’t wait to see your tree! I’m sure you’ll do it proud…

  31. Heather November 28, 2009 at 2:26 pm #

I wish my husband were as accommodating to my design desires as yours is. Did you choose one who is colorblind, by any chance? Is that the secret?

  32. Heather November 28, 2009 at 4:10 pm #

I saw a pink Christmas tree for sale at Borders the other day. It made me smile.

  33. claire November 28, 2009 at 4:20 pm #

I was just thinking about Blueprint today…ohh how I miss that magazine! I have yet to find anything to compare!

  34. Sara November 28, 2009 at 5:16 pm #

    Eeep! OMG! That is awesome!

  35. Summer Allen-Gibson November 28, 2009 at 5:56 pm #

I got ridiculously lucky in November of last year and found basically the same exact tree priced wrong at Goodwill for $3.99! Completely insane, I know- it must have just been my lucky day. We just put it up again: http://img113.yfrog.com/i/br1n.jpg/

  36. rebecca November 29, 2009 at 9:19 am #

Super cool. If i had the right spot for it in my house, i would totally order one. Although… hmm…. with my business name i could squeeze it into my office! LOL

  37. Sarah November 29, 2009 at 1:32 pm #

Cute! I hope that you got yours on sale too!

  38. Aubrey November 29, 2009 at 1:49 pm #

I wanna know where that dress the cover model is wearing is from! Maybe there’s details on it in the issue, could someone please look for me? It’s gorgeous.

    • Making it Lovely December 1, 2009 at 9:37 pm #

I know, I love the dress too. The credits didn’t list it though for some reason.

  39. Miss B. November 29, 2009 at 3:58 pm #

Lol, I would think you already owned one! I am sure it will look fab.

  40. onyourbikesunshine November 29, 2009 at 6:30 pm #

one of their best issues if you ask me.

  41. down pillow November 29, 2009 at 11:53 pm #

I swear, I’ve been kidding to people around me about getting a pink Christmas tree, but haven’t seen any as pretty as this. Can’t wait to see yours :)

  42. Melissa November 30, 2009 at 9:16 am #

I loved that magazine and still look at that issue for Xmas ideas! I am very jealous and can’t wait to see your pink tree!!

  43. tula@whorange November 30, 2009 at 12:58 pm #

You are my hero. What size did you get?

    • Making it Lovely December 1, 2009 at 9:37 pm #

Six feet tall. I wanted the 7.5′ version, but I thought it might be too big for the room.

  44. Allison November 30, 2009 at 4:34 pm #

LOVE! My sister has a 2 foot pink tree and I have one of the same size in silver that I decorated in all silver ornaments!
I’m more interested in that dress. I remember owning that issue but now I can’t find it and I’m pretty sure it had where to find that fabulous garment. :(

    • Making it Lovely December 1, 2009 at 9:38 pm #

I couldn’t find any info on the dress unfortunately. I don’t know why it wasn’t listed in the credits.

  45. Christa November 30, 2009 at 5:30 pm #

a color blind husband! what a great idea.

  46. Averill November 30, 2009 at 9:20 pm #

If anyone should have a pink Christmas tree, it’s you, Nicole! I can’t wait to see how you decorate it.

  47. Alanna November 30, 2009 at 9:31 pm #

Love it! I used this as inspiration for my “Pink Christmas” post! Enjoy it…I just know it’ll look perfect in your pink little house…after all…pink loves pink, too :)

  48. Laura C December 1, 2009 at 10:33 am #

    Ah, Blueprint. And Domino. Waaaaaah!

  49. Susan December 1, 2009 at 6:50 pm #

I saved that issue just because I thought that pink tree was so cool. Blueprint was a great magazine! I hope you post a picture of your pink tree when it is all done and ready.

  50. Susan December 2, 2009 at 2:12 pm #

This is one of my favorite of Blueprint’s covers. I put up a little tree in my boys’ room just for them every year, and I would LOVE, when Eleanor has her own room someday, to put up a small tree like this for her. Sigh…
