Another item off the 30 Before Thirty list: 25. Grow tomatoes. Done!
And they are delicious.
I’d better get moving on the rest of my list though. I have less than two months to go and still 19 items to complete. Yikes. And here I thought I was making good progress…

July 30, 2010 at 10:00 amI love fresh tomatos. I too grow them at home and taste so much better than in the stores.

July 30, 2010 at 10:02 amI suggest a pillow-case based dress for #8. There’s lots of super cute and easy patterns out there. Just google and you should find several different styles. Here’s one: http://www.jenleheny.com/pillowcase-dress-instructions

July 30, 2010 at 10:30 amI think this weekend you should tackle that last one on your list (its the end of the world) Just goggle the lyrics and start singing away! It could even be a fun family event… I always love when my husband and I have “dance night.” Break out a bottle of wine, turn up the tunes and let loose in the living room! Woohoo! Sometimes its just the best medicine. :)

July 30, 2010 at 10:34 amPretty tomatoes! I am growing tomatoes, too, this year, and it is so rewarding when they actually start to fruit. Congrats to crossing one more off the list!

July 30, 2010 at 10:38 amThose look so squishy and delicious.

July 30, 2010 at 10:40 amGreat job! They look really tasty. I love homegrown tomatoes (much better than store-bought) and this year I grew them on my patio in pots. It worked but the best ones grew in our compost pile, by accident!

July 30, 2010 at 10:45 amYum. Think of all the things you can use those babies for when they are in your backyard! I, too, have a list on my blog that needs some major love before I turn 28. Good luck! xoxo

July 30, 2010 at 10:47 amI’ve done a “things to do at _ list” for about five years now, and though it gets more daunting each year, and I only complete a handful, I really enjoy it. I like the way you are documenting them on your blog, perhaps I’ll do the same with mine!

July 30, 2010 at 10:48 amHEY! I saw that towel at Ikea yesterday and almost bought it! By the way, home grown tomatoes are the best! They melt in my mouth!

July 30, 2010 at 11:28 amI love this item on your list! It’s such a good idea.
I would love to grow my own food, but still can’t do it… (I live in a tiny appartment).
Those tomatoes look soooo fresh and tasty!
I want to eat some right now, but where I live is winter, so we don’t have much.
Good luck with the 19 items to complete!

July 30, 2010 at 12:18 pmJust making the list puts you ahead of most people.
Your list inspired me to make a list, until I realized I would have to make a 50 before fifty list. I don’t have the intestinal fortitude to ever consider that yet! Thus, I made a “things that can’t wait for my kids to grow up” list.

July 30, 2010 at 12:30 pmThese look fabulous! Mine are always green on the top when the rest of the tomato is ripe. Do you have a trick? Maybe it’s the variety. What kind are you growing?

July 30, 2010 at 4:50 pmIt doesn’t get much better than that!! Yumm! My son likes to eat the little plum ones straight from the vine. It pays to grow your own. They are so much better than store bought. Now I’m hungry.

July 31, 2010 at 11:22 amyummie! My tomatoes are still green. And i guess they´ll mature just when i´m away for vacations.
One thing i don´t get used to is that someone on the other side of the world owns the same dishtowel like me ;-)
AAAND: you probably can´t remember my comment on the swallow mobile you showed recently. I found them in an online-shop in the Netherlands. And three days ago, they arrived at my place. Hooray! So, thanks for this great find. I´ll post it as soon as it´s hung up as well as the wallpaper which is still on it´s way from the UK to Germany.

August 2, 2010 at 12:58 pmProgress, smogress. Who can get work done when there are garden tomatoes to consume. I love to slice cherry tomatoes in half and drizzle them with a bit of balsamic. I think growing your own tomatoes should count as at least 5 things on your list!
