I’m really digging this one. Sometimes I base parts of an outfit on something I already own, but I don’t have any of these things except the skinny jeans (and I now own a maternity version too). So yeah… I really want to do some shopping now.
I love the mix of feminine things like the patterned blouse and the bag with a giant bow paired with more masculine pieces like these smart-looking shoes and tortoiseshell glasses. Perfect.
Dear outfit, please appear in my closet, OK?

August 17, 2010 at 9:16 amI’ve got to go over to the Gap and try on those skinny jeans! I tend to gain weight in my hip area and I have yet to find flattering skinny jeans. I really like the idea of pairing them with a loose top to hide the postpartum tummy pooch!

August 17, 2010 at 9:30 ammmm yes, i would like that to appear in my closet as well! especially those glasses, so smart looking!

August 17, 2010 at 9:52 amThis makes me so excited for fall! I love the green with the yellow. I think that top is the one Ree Dummond wore on the Today show recently, I remember because it was so cute!

August 17, 2010 at 11:16 amgorgeous blouse!!! and of course skinny jeans are my #1 loverrrrr ♥
I am not very tall, so I’d probably go for the “Poshish” pumps instead of the masculine shoes, but they sure are great!

August 17, 2010 at 8:22 pmLove this whole outfit, as always. :) The shoes are perfect! I have been looking for a pair of feminine flat oxfords and they are exactly what I wanted. I wish I had the money to buy that shirt and the glasses, as well.
I always look bad with jeans that have elastic in them as they accentuate “things” even more. I found that the J. Crew Matchstick jeans were non-elastic perfectly fitting skinny jeans. If anyone has the same issue as me, they might be a good option (plus they are good quality).

August 18, 2010 at 8:28 amThat bag might have to be a back-to-school purchase. That bow is perfect!

August 18, 2010 at 3:31 pmHave you ever seen one of the Kinies bags in person? Can you vouch for the quality? I just ordered one and am having MAJOR second thoughts… :/
Congrats on #2! I love your blog! So inspiring! :)

August 18, 2010 at 8:00 pmCan I just wear that whole outfit right now? I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! The shirt is amazing (partly because it’s green), the pants are so cute, and I love the bow on the bag. I think you put this one together just for me. I’m 2 weeks away from having a baby and cannot wait to get back into real clothes. Maybe I’ll have to treat myself to this outfit to celebrate the new baby. Thanks for the inspiration.

August 29, 2010 at 8:36 pmI have been loving the oxford style shoes since they showed up (last fall?), but I am short-ish and curvy and they look ridiculous on me. Le sigh.
