This is a pretty typical winter outfit for me. A sweater (this maternity sweater rocks, by the way), a colorful skirt with tights, knee-high boots, and big statement necklace. I’d add a cool roomy bag and an interesting ring too.
p.s. Frye boots? Expensive but worth it. I bought a pair last year and they are going to last forever.
p.p.s. I wanted to use this locket, but the shop is closed for vacation and I wasn’t sure if they’d have them in stock again when they reopen. Wouldn’t it look great with this outfit though?

December 21, 2010 at 1:20 pmI actually purchased those exact same Frye boots about three weeks ago and LOVE them. I wore them on our trip to Germany and they are super comfy. Totally worth the investment.

December 21, 2010 at 1:20 pmThis is a cute outfit. I may recreate it this week. :)
I have to agree about the Frye boots. I bought a pair this fall and the quality is wonderful and I have no doubt I will have them for years and years.

December 21, 2010 at 1:51 pmI desperately wanted that locket, too, but I felt shy ordering it for myself! I don’t think my guys-guy of a husband would think to order it for me. :p

December 21, 2010 at 2:17 pmWhat a great look! I’m so frumpy, I wear sweatshirts and jeans mostly in the winter. I need to get with it! But yes, that closed shop with the locket–holy cow, gorgeous.

December 21, 2010 at 4:50 pmOK, well I picked that feather duster necklace in an attempt to not show something that was unavailable, and now it’s out of stock. I should have just used the awesome locket instead!

December 21, 2010 at 7:32 pmVery cute!!! Do you own those tights? Can you comment on how they run? I always fear that everything from anthropologie will run very small . . .

December 21, 2010 at 8:32 pmThe tights are by Hue, and I have several in different colors. They’re my favorite brand, and I’m still wearing them through my pregnancy (though they are starting to get a little snug now, but I’m getting huge).

December 22, 2010 at 11:52 amI love this outfit. I’ve been debating about investing in a good pair of Frye boots. I’m just so sick of things wearing out after one or two seasons!

December 22, 2010 at 11:55 amHow do you find all that wonderful jewelry on Etsy? I can find wonderful vintage dresses easily, but jewelry always eludes me. Any tips?

December 23, 2010 at 2:20 pmThe Valhalla Brooklyn bags have been on my “lust” list for almost three years now! I think I just need to bite the bullet and buy one already.
