That low handle is beautiful. The mug is part of Heath Ceramics’ original Coupe line, designed in the 1940s.

March 25, 2011 at 12:41 pmIt may be beautiful, but I find it unnecessarily tricky to drink out of a mug with that low a handle… at least, it’s tricky while the contents are above the level of the handle… the cup wants to tip into your mouth faster than you’re ready for (because of the lower center of gravity, I guess??).
Ah, well, beauty’s not always easy.
