- I want to make one of these DIY a-frame tents.
- This is a smart use of fabric too.
- You can make these tissue paper lanterns. And you should, because they’re adorable.

May 15, 2011 at 8:35 pmI LOVE our yellow front door. Now if only we could get the rest of the exterior of our house painted to match the loveliness of that color. The mint chocolate chip palate of our house was hideous when we moved in, and hideous still. PAINTING SOON!

May 16, 2011 at 12:05 pmHa! I have been mystified by Mormons and design blogs, so that was interesting. I kind of made up my own theory–that if someone is a stay-at-home mom (which obviously, not all Mormon women are), then your main focus would be your home.
Interesting read. There may be a lot of, say, Catholics, who write design blogs, but maybe it’s not called out as much within the focus of the blog itself? Dunno.

May 17, 2011 at 5:33 pmYeah, the Mormon thing is the open secret. Hahaha.
Right now the Church is trying to show people what Mormons are really like, and a big chunk of the women they exhibit are bloggers. Examples: http://mormon.org/me/1QX2 and http://mormon.org/me/2XRX
Then there’s the queen:
http://www.youtube.com/user/MormonMessages#p/f/10/KHDvxPjsm8E
The reasons are simple. Women are told that the home is the most sacred place on earth, and what they’re doing there is the most important thing. ever. Blogging is a way to reinforce that.
