I’ve seen Jens Lekman a couple of times, but he’s playing a show again tonight in Chicago for which I was unable to get tickets.
Sad face. But this song is making me smile. It takes place here:
Heads up: there is some profanity.
If you like Jens Lekman, perhaps you’d like to check out his Facebook page? Also, buy his albums of course.

October 3, 2011 at 4:28 pmOh wow. I refreshed the page at first (before actually reading the post) because I was like, why is there a map of my home town (and my old street even) on Nicole’s blog. Off to listen (and buy – love the song). I can picture the walk he’s doing. Thank-you for sharing!

October 3, 2011 at 6:14 pmThe first time I heard Jens was in concert, here in Minneapolis. My then-boyfriend took me along, and it was such a great show! Seeing him live definitely turned me into a fan.

October 3, 2011 at 7:29 pmLove, love, love Jens Lekman. So many of his songs have a sense of humor, which is refreshing. I was really lucky to see him play in a tiny little venue with a capacity of maybe 200 people tops. One of the best shows I’ve seen. Too bad you couldn’t get tickets.

October 4, 2011 at 2:21 amLast time I saw Jens (I’m in Aus), he was doing a series of secret concerts in people’s backyards. It was basically bring a blanket, and settle in… It was great!

October 4, 2011 at 7:33 amI saw him the Jan. 2 2010 – best concert! I heart the album Night Falls Over Kortedala. So so good! Bummer you couldn’t make it to his concert. Hopefully, he will be in Chicago again soon!

October 4, 2011 at 12:59 pmI saw Jens perform in Minneapolis about 4 years ago. There was about 50 people there. It was a great show and we got a chance to talk to him for about 15 minutes before it started at the record/sales table. He was very personable. This is one of my wife’s favorite blogs. She was excited to see you are a fan of Jens.

October 5, 2011 at 7:38 amIt was a great tiny show indeed. Creepy that I considered naming a child after him? Maybe.

October 10, 2011 at 12:33 amAh! Love this song and love seeing my city on your blog :) I went to uni on Queensberry Street, worked at a hospital in North Melbourne and my first job was on Elizabeth Street, so the song is full of nostalgia for me.
