Aubrey and Lindsay finished their kitchen, and it is beautiful. (Those are IKEA cabinets!)
-
I sometimes still wish we’d gone with white flooring in the bedrooms upstairs instead of going the opposite direction with nearly black bamboo. Look at how pretty these nurseries with white floors are.

Thank you, Babble, for naming me one of the top design blogs for moms.

Mamas, stay in the picture.

I can’t get enough of rustic industrial style lately. (I just put similar chairs in my dining room!)
-
A quick video tour of my closet. How do you keep yours organized?
-
These castle block sets are amazing.
-
Pink in the living room? Why not.
-
Such a pretty desk to work from.

I wanted some fringed Minnetonka boots for Eleanor last fall, and now this fall I’m loving them for the whole family.

October 5, 2012 at 5:46 pmI love the article about being okay with being in photos. I too need to relax about that. After I became a mom, I became super curious about what my mom looked like when her little ones were my children’s ages. Granted, taking photos back then was not as prevalent an activity as it is now (it was film! and then you had to wait for it to be developed! for days!) but there were only a few to look at from that time in her life. Plenty of us kiddos, but just a handful of her alone or her with us. It will be nice for my kiddos to have tons of photos to review when they are older. We do have lots….it’s just that I need to get over myself a little about needing to look great in all of them, because that just isn’t going to happen.

October 5, 2012 at 10:26 pmI loved that article, too. I hate having my picture taken, but this reminded me that it’s not about me. Thank you for sharing it!

October 5, 2012 at 7:27 pmI never know how to wear makeup with my glasses – thanks for sharing the link. And we just painted our floors white (you can see it here: http://aforeverhouse.blogspot.com/2012/09/white-floors-before-and-after-post.html?m=1 ). I love them now but may regret it once the dirty footprints take their toll!

October 6, 2012 at 2:31 pmNot related to this post but I saw that you have the Mojo table from Land of Nod. We’re looking at buying it – the thing that’s holding me back is that I can’t tell how comfortable it will be to use at the higher height with chairs. That is, I worry that the kids legs will run into the shelf before they’re able to get close enough to the top surface. I’d love your thoughts or if you have any experience with that.
Thanks!

October 7, 2012 at 8:09 amThat kitchen is to die for! OMG! ADEL cabinets from IKEA are my favorite. I hope to buy a older home in the next few months and a kitchen remodel is at the top of my list. They are so fun!

October 8, 2012 at 12:31 pmHave you seen Michelle Phan’s makeup for glasses videos? It’s shot from the front of her face so you can really see how she applies her makeup. She was picked up by Lancome because her YouTube videos are really popular. Here’s an older vide: http://youtu.be/91-EqPzSiRA and the newest one: http://youtu.be/8rGw80dgdMg
