This post is sponsored by Target. Welcome to Threshold. A new line for house and home.
I think we can call it: the end of my avoidance of the color blue. I’ve found that it appeals to me in certain shades over the years, but lately I’ve been completely drawn to it. I’m still not a fan of primary blue, but a lovely teal or robin’s egg? Oh yes. So this room is an exercise in incorporating the color without giving up my beloved pink (which I also didn’t like once upon a time), featuring the new Threshold line exclusively at Target, along with a few other finds.

April 30, 2013 at 3:31 pmRelaxed the pink/orange with clover & lime and I love this room! I almost ordered that #13 pillow. Thinking now that I should. Good job!

April 30, 2013 at 3:44 pmThat ombre pillow is just what I need for the front room.
I’d like to think that decorating my bedroom was responsible for this change of heart ;), but I think you might have done your laundry room first.

April 30, 2013 at 3:47 pmI think so, but other than the door, the laundry room is BARELY blue. Yours was much more a celebration of the color (and so pretty)!

April 30, 2013 at 4:14 pmI can’t believe how similar parts of this are to my living room. I have a cream-colored button-back couch, very similar glossy blue tray for table books, decorative chrome animal figures and side table, and succulents. The biggest difference is my choice in rug, I chose the Bursa Wool Rug from West Elm (an overdyed rug in a dark, inky blue).
Love it!

May 1, 2013 at 9:41 amI agree with the other posts, I love the pillow choice. I however would never go with bass or gold, I do not like that color in my home!

May 1, 2013 at 10:14 amNice looking collection in photos! I was not impressed by the quality of most of the Threshold items in person. I get it– it’s cheap/it’s a sponsored post. I’d suggest buying less but buying better and taking the time to allow things to accumulate more organically.

May 6, 2013 at 7:57 pm[…] million other things we could (and should) spend our money on first, but yeah, I’m embracing my newfound love of the color blue. I pinned the image below recently, and I’ve been finding myself going back to look at it over […]
