It’s been a while since I put together one of these “Let’s…” posts. They’ve always been fun, but I’m especially excited about this one because I’ve expanded on the concept! Will you let me know if you like the change in the comments?
OK, onward. For this edition, we’re going to design a bedroom around floral bedding. This new design kicked off the idea, but there are a few other floral patterns out there that I love and wanted to bring in for the post.
Which bed, bedding, and bench would you put together in a room from the choices below? I’ll share my choices with you, after the jump. Here’s the added portion though — normally I would simply show you the three items I’d pick, but this time I’ve taken those three and continued the idea, actually pulling in the elements for an entire room.
Ready? And… go!

I would choose numbers seven, eight, and ten from above. That headboard is so interesting that I would complement it with a simple bench at the foot of the bed. Florals love polka dots, so I’d bring those in with the sheets and then add another color in the bedding — mustard yellow is always a favorite of mine with pink. Natural wood in the furniture plays off of creamy white ceramics, a vintage portrait works in the room without being matchy-matchy, and the rug brings in more pink in a subtle way.
The only problem with expanding on the post like this is that it makes me want to redo my bedroom, top to bottom. That urge happens all too often when I put together a new design though, so I think I can safely ignore it!

June 17, 2015 at 6:08 pm#1 and #6, the legs on both benches are too fancy for me, but I like the top of #8 the best. I’d get some striped sheets and paint the room an aqua. For some reason I think it would be the guest room, which is absurd unless my room was already (re) done!

June 17, 2015 at 6:41 pmI would pick 1,6,8.

June 17, 2015 at 6:48 pm5, 6 & 8. Love that brass bed.

June 17, 2015 at 6:51 pmMy picks are 6, 7, and maybe 8 (not sure about the benches). I have that bedding pinned on my Bedroom dreams board and really love it but it is a bit too pricey for my thrifty self – plus I suspect that it would feel too girly for my husband…. sigh.

June 17, 2015 at 8:13 pmI’d pick 1, 6 and 8.

June 17, 2015 at 11:21 pmFrom the first set: 4, 6 and 7. I just purchase an Indian Kantha floral quilt for my toddlers room and I can’t wait to see the room come together.

June 18, 2015 at 9:53 amEverything was lovely till I saw #7 headboard, then 7, 8, and 10 fell together. I’d change out your dresser inspiration for something heavier, like a dark antique dresser with interesting hardware – otherwise, that would be a pretty perfect room to me.

June 18, 2015 at 12:05 pmMy picks would be 1, 4 & 6. I love the softness of the floral combined with the masculine lines of the bed.

June 18, 2015 at 2:33 pmI would pick #1, #4, #6 and then add some navy blue hues in there as well, maybe with a rug or a vase. But I just love the combination of the more masculine tones with the fun, summer patterns! Loved the other pieces like that brass headboard and the quilt. The dresser is another favorite as well, so cute!

June 19, 2015 at 9:25 amI love that first bed and would love to put it into the new house. It fits my wants (pretty canopy bed) and my husband’s (modern) perfectly! :)

June 19, 2015 at 1:25 pmI *just* got that floral quilt from schoolhouse electric, it is even prettier in person and not too girly. I toned it down with some of the other elements in the room (wood bed frame, gray rug…)

June 19, 2015 at 10:08 pmI like 1,9, and 10 together. I would add the rug, the painting and the plant as accents. I already have lamps I love: They are white matte faux bois. The tag at Home Goods says they’re “Broyhill” but I’ve never found them anywhere on a Broyhill site, so probaby re-tagged.

June 22, 2015 at 2:04 pm#5, #6, and #8 I think, though I love your choices too, just not for my house. Unfortunately I’m not going to be in a position to spend that much on bedding anytime soon more’s the pity. LOVE that brass bed.
