I’m a more patient mom with enough sleep. A more creative designer, a better partner, a better everything. For me, getting enough rest means not pushing myself to stay up and do one more thing because if I can just get myself into bed at a reasonable time, I can usually fall asleep pretty easily. If you’re someone that has a harder time of it though (like my better half), Sleep Number has some great tips for better sleep.
We’re loving our new mattress, and I’m pretty into checking the SleepIQ™ feedback that the bed provides. I knew from talking to Brandon that he doesn’t sleep as soundly as I do, but look at the difference in our data. And this is a big improvement for him! He used to get even less rest before.
Those numbers are from a few weeks ago, and it’s cool to see in the app how they’ve improved and changed over time. Brandon’s paying attention to his patterns and implementing some helpful sleep solutions, using that information to find better sleep.
I was thinking about it and I realized that we’re opposites with other furniture too. I love our teal couch in the living room because it’s deep and the cushions are so soft. He prefers much more firm seating, like our beige armchairs or the black and white sofa in the library. Having a mattress that adjusts on each side has been really great for us! I keep my side at 40 and he’s most comfortable at 65 — a big difference. It’s a fantastic bed for couples, and they can tailor the right solution for you in store.

July 10, 2017 at 9:24 amMy closest sleep number store is right here in Tallahassee, FL! My husband and I have very different sleep preferences. He likes the room cool; I like it warm. I like thick, fluffy blankets; he likes nothing more than a thin sheet. He likes a firm mattress; I like a softer. A Sleep Number mattress would go a long way in helping us find compromise in our sleeping arrangements!

July 10, 2017 at 9:27 amThere’s a store less than 5 miles from my house in Austin. My biggest problem is that I wake up hot and sweaty every night because my current mattress retains heat like whoa.

July 10, 2017 at 9:39 amLooks like there are 3 locations in Orlando area less than 10 miles from me! My sister & her husband keep offering to let us try their bed – they love it. We need a new bed and have been considering a Sleep Number bed since we’re not sure the compromise we made last time really worked for us – he likes it soft and I like it firm. Thanks for the opportunity!

July 10, 2017 at 9:41 amThere is a store just a few miles away from me in Cincinnati. Our mattress is old and it needs replaced, but we just haven’t gotten around to taking care of it.

July 10, 2017 at 9:48 amSerremonte is our store, and we have such an olllllddd mattress we truly need an upgrade, the hubs moves a lot during sleep so something more solid would be great for my sleep!

July 10, 2017 at 9:48 amThere’s a store not far from me but I’ve never gone to try it out. I’ve got an old mattress and I live alone so I’ve never considered sleep number before. That app though is really a nice feature and I trust it more than a phone that sits on the mattress. Plus, I like that what feels comfy today may not tomorrow, so the mattress adjusts for that.
Would love to see a check in after a few months to see how you two still love the mattress and if Brandon has improved more!

July 10, 2017 at 9:57 ammy closest store is in greenville, nc. not sure if it’s a side effect of getting older (having just turned 40) or having kids, but i feel like my sleep quality has progressively gone down hill. the 14 year old mattress i have surely is not helping.

July 10, 2017 at 10:03 amLooks like our closest is Alderwood Mall – Lynnwood, WA. My husband and I have very different ideas of “soft” and “firm”, so would be great to have our own options.

July 10, 2017 at 10:05 amMy closest store currently is the Brooklyn-Boerum Hill location, but I’m moving at the end of the month and my new apartment is near the Buckhead – Lenox Rd (Atlanta) location. My husband has back problems and I have weird shoulder problems, so a Sleep Number bed would be great!

July 10, 2017 at 10:11 amThe closest location is in Raleigh, NC! My biggest perform right now is pregnancy-related: my hips are killing me at night. Thanks for a great giveaway!

July 10, 2017 at 10:11 amMy closest store is Fairfax VA. My husband has sleep apnea and also trouble falling asleep. Our mattress was a hand me down and is too firm for me, so I’d love something tailored to our needs!

We really need a new mattress, our current one is sagging and lumpy. We both have shoulder pain, a sleep number might just be the trick to fix that!

July 10, 2017 at 10:36 amOur closest store is Rogers, AR. I would dearly love a new bed. Ours was given to us (used) by a neighbor when we were first married. It has definitely seen better days and now we both have sore backs constantly. I’m ready to upgrade.

July 10, 2017 at 10:41 amMy closest location is the Lincoln Park store! My parents have had their Sleep Number for about five years and love it. Now that my mattress is on its last leg (not even plural, there’s just one leg left) I’m giving one of my own some serious thought.

July 10, 2017 at 10:44 amOur closest store is at Mall St. Matthews. We need a new mattress because ours currently has two human-sized wells in it. I was unimpressed with how a traditional mattress has held up over the years, so perhaps a sleep number bed would be a good change.

July 10, 2017 at 10:50 amIndianapolis, Ind!
My husband and I can’t agree on an appropriate mattress firmness, our next mattress will likely need to a Sleep Number. He likes mattresses so soft that I feel like I’m falling into a sink hole and he feels like my firmer preference is rock-hard.

July 10, 2017 at 10:54 amMy boyfriend and I just bought a house. I had been noticing that our bed wasn’t as comfortable as it used to be, but especially after the move and pushing and pulling up the stairs I just haven’t been sleeping as well. I started thinking about it and realized that the mattress is 11 years old now, so probably about ready for an upgrade!

July 10, 2017 at 11:16 amPortland Mine is the closet to me which is perfect because I go right by this store when I visit my daughter at college. My bed now does not give me any type of support anymore. The kids used it too much as a trampoline when they were younger. Yes, I also I had fun with the kids jumping on my bed but now I have to pay the consequences for having all of that fun. My dog also thinks my mattress doesn’t do the trick anymore.

July 10, 2017 at 11:23 amI’m surprised to see a store at the Galleria at South Bay! We slept on a Sleep Number bed several years ago at a resort in San Diego, and it was one of the best nights’ sleep ever. I like firm and my husband likes soft, so someone always has to compromise – it’s usually him since I have back & hip issues!

July 10, 2017 at 11:24 amClosest is Knoxville Turkey Creek….We have different sleeping positions, which means we generally buy for my husband while my hips pay the price!

July 10, 2017 at 11:31 amBrand new store in Dedham, only 4 miles away from us! We’ve already been there checking out the beds, because we have the issue where my husband prefers a much softer mattress and I prefer more firm. I’d also be SUPER interested in analyzing all the sleep data to figure out just how much rest we’re actually getting :)

July 10, 2017 at 11:45 amThe closest store is 50 miles away, but that’s what happens when you live in the middle of nowhere! I’d love to upgrade our bed and then have one for the guest room- the ol’ mattress shuffle.

July 10, 2017 at 11:46 amMy closest store is the West Omaha store, which is about 30 miles away.
Sleep Number has been on my radar for a while – my husband needs a firmer mattress because of lingering back issues from his time in the military. I, on the other hand, need a softer mattress, because each time I sleep on anything too firm I wake up with backaches and my neck out is out of alignment. I feel like a Sleep Number might finally be the trick to getting us both what we need.

July 10, 2017 at 1:01 pmCrossgates Mall in Albany, NY. I, like many people, took advantage of/fell victim to the online bed in a box; a year in, it is truly terrible. July 10, 2017 at 1:06 pmThe Chicago store is my closest one. My husband and I have had the same temperpedic mattress for almost 14 years!! It doesn’t do it’s job well anymore and we’re definitely in need of an upgrade. I’ve got a bad back and he has a hard time falling asleep.

July 10, 2017 at 1:10 pmNorth County Faire Mall in Escondido, CA. My husband was in the military and has back problems due to an accident as well as normal wear and tear of daily activity in the military. He’s been out for 8 years now, but he seems to be in constant pain to the point that he even goes to a chiropractor regularly to get relief. Recently, he’s told me that he wants to get a sleep number bed because he thinks it will elevate some of his back pain and help him get better sleep. This bed would be for big, bad Marine who needs some help. Thank you!

July 10, 2017 at 1:29 pmOur closest store is Bellevue WA, which is convenient as it’s right near where my husband works. Ever since I got to my 2nd trimester in pregnancy I knew our old Simmons BeautyRest had to go–it had been a great mattress but we’d had it for a decade and it showed (and hurt my back sometimes with the uneven wearing of our heavy bodies on it). We tried another mattress, one of the higher-end online versions, but I really haven’t been impressed and would be thrilled to try a truly customizable mattress like Sleep Number! Alas, I don’t feel like I can justify another *purchased* mattress after we already bought and decided to keep a new one, but man, if I won it… :)

July 10, 2017 at 1:29 pmOur current mattress used to be heavenly but in the last six months or so it has gotten sadly saggy, we are just starting the search for a new mattress. My parents have a sleep number and we would LOVEE a free upgrade so much!

I’d love to provide one that can be used by us, then many other families who come through the guest house in the future!
