I’ve been thinking about how I’d like to change the front porch, and lately I’m finding myself drawn to all things green. Ideally, I’d like the whole house to be green! That may be a bit out of reach right now, but I can at least use the color in other ways.
Here’s a little roundup of things that have caught my eye…
- Lantern
- MYNTA Hanging Planter
- Ceramic Owl Planter
- Modern Wire Chair
- Olive Egg Planter
- Beachcomber Outdoor Pillow
- Poolside Green Pillow
- MYNTA Plant Pot
- PB Classic Stripe Outdoor Pillow
- Placid Lakeside Planter
- Retro Bullet Planter
- Astro Balls
- LAVARÖ Rug
- Vessel Architectural Pottery S-3 Planter and WS-3 Walnut Stand
- High-Wire Act Chair

March 28, 2009 at 6:59 amI just wanted to say I love your blog. I see a lot of similarities between the architecture of your house and my family’s. And also we have an owl penny jar EXACTLY like that planter, except it is painted in brown and different colors for the eyes. :)

March 28, 2009 at 7:38 amI LOVE this! Green is by far my favorite color, and my bedroom currently includes many different shades of green. Having NO sense of what works together in terms of color, I have been wondering if I am way off base combining all the different shades (although it was born more of necessity than choice thanks to hand-me-downs and a tiny budget). This gives me hope that it is maybe okay.
Are there any rules/guidelines for combining different shades of the same color?

March 28, 2009 at 8:38 pmI love it! I’ve been thinking a lot about spring flowers a lot lately, bright colors with green. I think I might paint our hallway a nice green, but I havent gotten the courage to do so yet. Green is a big commitment!

March 29, 2009 at 4:05 amLovely choices!
I just blogged about my front balcony. It’s white and pink which suits my home. Green would look wonderful on your porch.
By the way, I’ve marked your blog as a ‘Must Read Blog’ on mine. I love the way you have transformed your home. Thank you for the constant inspiration!

March 30, 2009 at 9:23 amLove, love, love. I just did a post on green for spring. I’ve never really liked green before, but now I can’t seem to get enough.
I’ve recently bought 3 shirts, a dress for me and my daughter, and a rug at different times. All are the same color green. Love your choices for outdoors!

March 30, 2009 at 9:36 amGreen is by far my favorite color and has been since I was a girl. I think it has to do with Kermit the Frog.

March 30, 2009 at 11:37 amBut what about the porch swing? Am I the only one who is seriously waiting on tenterhooks to hear about that? Does that make me the biggest nerd ever? Because I don’t care! (I’ve wanted a working porch swing ever since seeing Bull Durham when I was little. I don’t want the Kevin Kostner to go with it anymore, but you know.)

March 30, 2009 at 12:36 pmSimply stunning! There was a great article in Real Simple about decorating with green. I love the outdoor focus.
