Our home has been lovingly bedecked for the holidays.
I’ve already shown you what the tree looks like undecorated…
And I gave you a little glimpse of it with ornaments…
Now I have the rest of our tree, and a few other holiday decorations to show you.
A white dove rests near the top.
Presents are nestled in below.
A sparkly pillow sits on the couch.
Stockings have been hung from the dining room buffet.
Our deer are out, as always.
I’ve even decorated the light in the dining room (inspired by Brooke).
Really, I can’t believe I hesitated to buy the pink Christmas tree. It fits in so perfectly here.

December 21, 2009 at 2:17 pmI’m pretty sure my favorite details (beside the tree, of course) are the swanky paper selections under the tree. YAYS!

December 21, 2009 at 3:29 pmNicole,
Everything is so beautiful! I think what is so inspiring about you and everything you design is that it is so unapologetically you. You are so good at trusting your instincts and pushing the envelope. Eleanor is lucky to have such a confident role model to emulate. You push me to follow my gut and worry less about what people think. Modern estancia, here I come. ;)
p.s. You outdid yourself again with your Christmas cards this year!
Making it Lovely
December 21, 2009 at 9:35 pmThank you, Jules.

December 21, 2009 at 3:39 pmLove all the pink! The stocking holder is so cute! Where did you find that…and is it really a stocking holder?
Elizabeth
December 21, 2009 at 9:28 pmI second the stocking hook question. I’ve been searching everywhere for ones that I like and haven’t found a thing.
Making it Lovely
December 21, 2009 at 9:34 pmThey ARE official stocking holders. I bought them years ago from Hold Everything (they’re designed by Jonathan Adler) – they were on clearance for $5.

December 21, 2009 at 3:47 pmI think there are few people who could pull off a pink tree with such style and class such as you have. It’s lovely!

December 22, 2009 at 2:27 pmOooh! It all looks so pretty! Perfect for little Eleanor’s first Christmas! This year our little Landon is quite mobile and quite into the tree… he keeps coming in the room and pointing at the tree and saying oooooooohhhh!!! Then he sneaks the ornaments off while we aren’t looking. Fun times!

December 22, 2009 at 3:31 pmAww! So cozy. Happy first Christmas to Miss Eleanor and the rest of your family. Well done, mom! I can barely manage to wash my hair and get out the door to work every day with a little one. I don’t know how you do it, but it all looks so pretty.

December 22, 2009 at 4:24 pmDid you make the stocking letters or did you buy them? If bought, where? That’s a modern & timeless idea for labeling stockings. You inspired me to try that for my family.
Happy Holidays?

December 23, 2009 at 1:45 pmThose are ornaments from Restoration Hardware. We already had a ‘B’ and an ‘N’, so I made sure to grab an ‘E’ for Eleanor this year.
