I’m still wearing cropped skinny pants a whole lot, but I’ve been mixing in wider silhouettes lately and these denim trousers are my new favorites. Casual but tailored, and so soft. I’ve been pairing them with tucked in blousy tops and I feel put together and cute, but not too dressed up to chase after the kids or run errands. And the shoes: both of these have proven to be versatile and comfortable enough to wear all day! Low heels for the win.

Polka Dot Blouse, Zara
-
Burberry Frames, Glasses.com
-
Marcie Small Leather Satchel, Chloé, Nordstrom
This bag has been at the top of my wish list forever. I spot it being carried occasionally, and it always elevates whatever outfit it’s paired with. -
Refined Denim Trousers, LOFT
Just bought these! Super flattering, and comfortable too. -
Plain Weave Ring by Michal Taharlev, Adorn Milk
-
DV Nya Booties, Target
I bought these a couple years ago when they were under the Dolce Vita label and cost $200. They go with everything, and now that there’s an almost identical $35 version? Go get ’em. -
The Warren Sandal, Madewell
I have these too, from last year. They’re my go-to sandal.

March 7, 2016 at 9:45 pmSo, how do you get Chloe to sponsor a post so you can get that bag, or is it only a fantasy for me?

March 8, 2016 at 11:14 amWhile that would indeed be lovely, I’m in a different vertical. ;) I could put the bag on my Nordstrom card right now, but I don’t want the debt. Admiring from afar it is.

March 8, 2016 at 10:59 amMy dream bag, too! I saw a grey one in person just this past weekend, and had to work to keep from touching it. LOL

March 8, 2016 at 11:02 amHa! I was having lunch a month or two ago and was seated on a long banquette, and the woman next to me had one. I had to resist the urge to just reach over and touch it. Have you checked it out in person? The leather is so soft.

March 9, 2016 at 10:06 amYou know, I haven’t. But I have stopped buying the occasional handbag as a quick fix, and instead am putting that money towards the big rig Chloe – I hate to think that I could have easily purchased it already if I wasn’t frittering away those $$$ on random other bags. Don’t even get me started on the myriad diaper bags I’ve tried to love over the past 3 years.
I’ve got my eyes set on the Chloe inventory at Tradesy as well, so we’ll see what happens.

March 10, 2016 at 7:26 amHow do the Madewell sandals fit, sizewise? Did you end up with your normal size? Thanks!
Making it Lovely
March 10, 2016 at 2:32 pmDepending on the brand/shoe, I’m a 7.5 or an 8, and I went with the size 7.5 for them.

March 12, 2016 at 9:22 pmI am soooo glad people are coming back around to trouser jeans and wider/flared styles. They are just so flattering and chic! They are the best style for my body type so I’ve been wearing them for years, but it’s fun to be able to find so many great options in stores.

May 3, 2016 at 10:56 amIt’s great to see trousers and flare jeans make a comeback. That used to be my go to style before skinny jeans took over the world, and I couldn’t seem to find flared jeans for a while. I’m stocking up on those now! :)
