Would you like to buy it? I’m asking for $400. It’s only two months old, and it cost $550 after tax from west elm.
Here’s the ad on Craigslist.

February 19, 2008 at 12:45 amI’ve wanted that exact table forever. Do you think it would be insane to ship to Idaho or are you wanting to deal locally?

February 19, 2008 at 6:06 amThis is one of those times when it’s a shame I live in Australia… *sigh*

February 19, 2008 at 9:28 amI’d prefer someone local, but I suppose I could ship. I’ve never sent anything that big before though (and I don’t have the original packaging). My guess is that it would cost about the same if I shipped it as it would for west elm to ship it (so you’d still be getting a deal)…
Has anyone shipped furniture before? How do you do that?

February 19, 2008 at 10:52 amNicole! That table is so lovely! I’m a local gal and would absolutely LOVE to own it but I’d probably have to keep it in storage since I’m moving soon and it doesn’t feel right to keep it stowed away for so long (only a couple of months, but still)! Good luck on your search for the new owner! :D

February 19, 2008 at 7:13 pmI bet now that you have the new dining set, your wallpaper and everything will just fall into place.

February 19, 2008 at 8:32 pmCan I ask a question about a different table? :) I have the same Thomas O’Brien coffee table and I’m wondering if you refinished yours. The wood on mine is, well, weird (an odd color with sort of a powdery white finish on parts of it), and so it’s been sitting in my basement. Did yours have the same problem? (love your place by the way!)

February 20, 2008 at 12:55 amAlicia, my coffee table has a weird white finish to it too. I just do my best to ignore it and pretend it’s nice wood. ;)

February 20, 2008 at 2:41 pmEvery time I drop in for a visit your home is becoming more gorgeous! Love it. I had to laugh though at your two dining room tables dilemma because that sounds like something my husband would have to fuss at me about… Good luck finding a buyer for the West Elm table. If you were local, I’d feature it on my craigslist Monday but Atlanta is far away from where you are and the shipping would probably be insane.
Can’t wait to see more progress.

February 25, 2009 at 4:48 pmHi Nicole! I’d love to take a look at it. I stumbled upon your blog because I googled “parsons table” ! I’m less than 15 miles from Oak Park and on the Northwest Side of Chicago! It looks great from the picture.

December 7, 2009 at 3:06 amMaybe this is a old post…is your Parsons Table still for sale? I live in Lincoln Square in Chicago. It would have a happy new home in a Chicago Bungalow! After much research on this table, I know that the legs are removable so it could easily be picked up and transported in my SUV. Long winding road to find this table. Still asking $400? Is that negotiable at all? I’d do the heavy lifting! :)

December 7, 2009 at 9:25 amYes, somebody bought the table a long time ago. Thanks for asking though!
