O’verlays are paintable, flexible panels for customizing your furniture. They come in sizes that are compatible with several IKEA pieces (Malm, Rast, Expedit, and Effektiv), but you can probably find a size to work with most other non-IKEA items as well.
I’m wondering what would look better around the house with a little customizing…

Such gorgeous design, I’m loving this! xo
OMG… these are fabulous!
This is an awesome idea! I’m definitely going to check this out and see what I can do with my Malm dresser.
How fun! Where do you get them? At Ikea? I so need to road trip it to my nearest Ikea ASAP
They aren’t from IKEA, they just happen to be sized correctly for a lot of their pieces. I linked to the source above in the post, but here it is again: http://www.danikacheryle.com/
I thought they were really cool, and ready to buy it for my teen’s room until I went to the website and looked at the price. $44 to fancy up a table that cost 8? That makes no sense. Cool idea, but no thanks.
That’s the most expensive one — most of them are under $20. I think they’re a good option to get a custom look.
I want to know about the lamp pictured. Any ideas where it comes from?
OHHHH, I like the lamp too….
I love love this… :) Such a great idea

Very cool, loving some of the wall designs/mirror designs they have on their website, I think these could make pretty cool wall art in the right space too.
Wow–I love this idea!
I was literally JUST looking at the O’verlyas by Danika & Cheryle site when I saw this tweet! They look awesome.
I ADORE these!! They look amazing I have to get some thank you! I need a Malm Dresser now!
I know, isn’t that crazy? I want to get my hands on some IKEA furniture just so that I try these out!
Oh wow…those are pretty awesome! I love the interlocking circles!

That would be perfect for my dresser redo!
What a great product niche! Brilliantly beautiful.I think its worth every penny! I recently found a bamboo dresser at a second hand store…but it took two years to find it. Plus I wanted 2 not 1. Way to get instant dimentional detail. Thanks for sharing, N!
Exactly.
Bri (one funny girl) from Me, You and a Wiener used them recently…

I actually have that lamp in the top photo in my bedroom!
Where did you get the lamp??
I spent some time on the website and got some real inspiration. I like the fact that they are so lightweight. Thanks for finding this interesting resource.
I was thinking of putting textured wall paper on the face of a dresser, but this might look better.

I can’t remember where I first saw them. I know for sure they’ve been on Apartment Therapy, and Young House Love mentioned them yesterday too. They’re making the design blog rounds, I think.
Wow – totally fantastic. I’m looking at my dresser in a new light. fun stuff!
My brain is on serious overload with ideas & excitement over these. Best thing I’ve seen in…ever?
These are AWESOME! I think they would look cool as a border around a room at chair rail or higher with a little bit of ledge trim. Hmmm….my powder room is screaming for something like this. LOVE IT!!
AMAZING find!!! Thank you so much for sharing! I will be incorporating these in my new home, for sure.
