'D' for Decorating Filing Cabinet

O’verlays

O’verlays are paintable, flexible panels for customizing your furniture. They come in sizes that are compatible with several IKEA pieces (Malm, Rast, Expedit, and Effektiv), but you can probably find a size to work with most other non-IKEA items as well.

I’m wondering what would look better around the house with a little customizing…

They aren’t from IKEA, they just happen to be sized correctly for a lot of their pieces. I linked to the source above in the post, but here it is again: http://www.danikacheryle.com/

I thought they were really cool, and ready to buy it for my teen’s room until I went to the website and looked at the price. $44 to fancy up a table that cost 8? That makes no sense. Cool idea, but no thanks.

That’s the most expensive one — most of them are under $20. I think they’re a good option to get a custom look.

What a great product niche! Brilliantly beautiful.I think its worth every penny! I recently found a bamboo dresser at a second hand store…but it took two years to find it. Plus I wanted 2 not 1. Way to get instant dimentional detail. Thanks for sharing, N!
