I’ve been tagged by Lynne from LKS Design, which makes this my… (drumroll) first tag ever! Whoo.
Rules of the game: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to then report this on their own blog with their 7 things as well as these rules. They then need to tag 7 others and list their names on their blog. They are also asked to leave a comment for each of the tagged, letting them know they have been tagged and to read the blog.
Well, I’m going to break the rules a little by not doing a follow-up tag to seven other people (sorry). If you’re interested though, here are seven random tidbits about me:
-
I read books about math – for fun. I love calculus. I worry that my knowledge of math will slip away because I never get to use it.
-
I wear a dress or skirt almost every day. Yes, even in the cold, snowy, Chicagoland winter.
-
I’m pretty handy – I used to be a handman (handywoman?). It drives me crazy when I go to the home improvement stores (in my dress/skirt, of course) and they say things like “make sure your husband helps you with that”.
-
My favorite movies are somewhat embarassing: Grease, Dirty Dancing, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Breakfast Club… I could go on (but I won’t)!
-
I can’t swim. Naturally, this means I’m afraid of large bodies of water and I hate being on boats.
-
I like watching The Cosby Show reruns late at night on cable.
-
I’m my own worst critic, and I’m a perfectionist.
Informative, no?

June 25, 2007 at 3:31 pmNice to meet you, fellow non-swimmer! It’s all the more embarassing to admit when you were born and raised in Southern California. Your home is coming along beautifully by the way. I’m green with envy over your library.

i never took calculus…never will and probably never can. hehe.
i also taught myself how to swim when i was young. i just spontaneously jumped into the deep end of a pool without warning to anyone. it’s all about the doggy paddle. :)

May 25, 2010 at 12:30 pmI’m relatively new to your blog, and I’ve been reading my way backwards to the beginning. I just came across this post and I was surprised to read that you can’t swim. I can’t either. I even took a class in college, but it didn’t help. They just told me I can’t even float! :D Anyway it has always bothered me that I can’t, but it really helps knowing such a cool person like you can’t either. Thanks for sharing!!
