The National Stationery Show is less than two weeks away, and my crate has already arrived in NYC. That does help relieve some of the stress, but I’ve been sick since Monday (a cold this time, no more food poisoning). With so much to do, I can’t afford to miss out of several days of work because I don’t feel well! Ugh.
I’m pretty excited about my booth design. I made 8 panels with the pattern from my shop’s website, and I’ll be hanging shelves on them.
They’ll look better when they’re done, trust me. ;)
I also bought FLOR carpet tiles in fluffy fuschia and espresso. Perhaps I’ll use them in the house later, I’m not sure yet.
OK, back to work for me. I’ll try to take a photo of some of the new goodies soon!

May 8, 2008 at 7:26 pmI used to work for Freeman, the company that does the Stationery Show…. I feel for you and those damnable drayage rates! Looks like yours will be one of the most inventive booths there. Too bad I didn’t catch yours (if you were an exhibitor then) last year when I was there–most of the booths I visited were kind of bleh.

May 8, 2008 at 11:05 pmGood morning ! How lovely is that panel!
I really like the pattern. I know it’s irritating when you have tons of things to do and you don’t feel good. :-) Something that occasionally happens also to me while I’m preparing the last details of a wedding :-P so many thing so little time!
Wish you to get well soon

May 10, 2008 at 7:08 amOh, I feel for you! I worked a trade show at Javitts for my best friend back in March. Now that I know what goes into it, I have the utmost respect for those of you in the retail biz! I was EXHAUSTED! But maybe that’s b/c we walked all those cross-town blocks to H&M every day after the show was over!
Love those carpet tiles. We used white ones, and they got dirty the first second of the show.

May 13, 2008 at 10:42 amThanks for sharing this! I go to tradeshows and it is so hard to make your booth look decent on a budget. If you ever come across any other ideas, please share! I would love to see your booth set up too. Nice work…
