- Do you remember Catherine’s nursery? Well now the nursery for her baby brother James is finished. I wonder if baby James is here yet…
- Here’s how granny sandals became chic (and yes, I want a pair).
- Penelope’s bedroom is so sweet. I love all of the happy yellow!
- If you liked Eleanor’s pillowcase dress, you’re going to like all of Fable’s handmade dresses too.
- I’ve never rocked false eyelashes, but I think maybe I’d like to give it a try. (Have you?)
- Jo’s house is looking good thanks to a little help from Little Green Notebook.
- And speaking of Little Green Notebook, Jenny wants to know if you can have children and still have nice things. (I say yes.)
- Everyone has seen Mila’s daydreams by now, yes? (Go look if you haven’t yet — I’ll wait.) Well here’s an interview with Mila’s mom, Adele.

August 6, 2010 at 3:51 pmA couple of summers ago I was totally over the moon for some Worishofer slingbacks. I got them, and they look great with a lot of my summer clothes, but they KILL my feet. I can’t wear them, sadly.

August 6, 2010 at 3:58 pmI recently tried false eyelashes for the first time and I loved them. I got some of the little individual ones from WalMart just to play with, and they were so fun. I just put one little “sprig” at the outside corner and it was a very subtle difference. You should totally give them a try!!

August 6, 2010 at 6:50 pmI never would have bought myself false eyelashes, but my siter in law bought some for me from Sephora. I wore them for a girl’s night out on my birthday and it was so fun! I loved it.

August 6, 2010 at 9:37 pmI own three pairs of the exact Worishofer ankle-strap sandals you linked to. I’ve got red, black and metallic gold. Best purchases ever. Super comfortable and incredibly durable. Mine have lasted through 3 summers of heavy wearing and still look great.
I cannot recommend them enough.

August 6, 2010 at 11:47 pmYAY! Thank you so much for linking our modern kiddo interview. Adele was so sweet, we were thrilled she chatted with us!
And also may I say THUMBS UP to Worishofers! I have had the mules which are FAB (mine were the red patent):

(i will say that they were uncomfy the first wearing and then they molded to my feet and are amazing)
But these sling backs are my faves:

I get compliments on them all the time AND they are comfy!
Thank you again nicole! I was an honor to see modern kiddo over here….

August 7, 2010 at 3:36 pmI absolutely love false eyelashes – I have a pair of really natural ones so when I go out all night or there’s an occassion with lots of pictures (graduation) I usually wear them as it just looks like I’m wearing normal amounts of eye makeup…but I don’t get any dark circles from smudging mascara! An added bonus is I got them in Japan for $1 and I’ve used them at least 10 times!! xo

August 7, 2010 at 4:49 pmBuy those sandals! I bought the exact pair two years ago and they are my go-to summer sandal. They are so incredibly comfortable and look good with everything!

August 8, 2010 at 9:07 pmI’m sorry, but I think those shoes are awful! (Have fun with the eyelashes, though).

August 8, 2010 at 9:17 pmI have a slight addiction to individual fake lashes- after you get the hang of it they’re a snap to put on, and if you do it right you can leave them on for a week. They definitely add some pizzazz!

August 9, 2010 at 3:04 pmI’ve been seeing some sweet sandals like that at the thrift store recently, although none of them have been in my size. Most of them were probably worn by little 4’10” grandmas with size 4 1/2 feet.
Thanks for including me in your honor roll!! What an honor!! Thank you!

August 9, 2010 at 5:15 pmNicole, thank you so much for posting James’ nursery – and he DID arrive last Sunday! We are settling in now but I’ll post some pics soon…and along those same lines…congratulations to YOU on your big news! Hope you feel well soon!

August 9, 2010 at 5:33 pmFalse eyelashes are so much fun, you should definitely try some! I love the ones from MAC and the best part is that they’ll put them on you (and do your eye makeup!) if you buy them there and ask one of the artists. Once you’re done with them, just peel them off, clean off the glue, store them in their original packaging and you can reuse them at a later date.
