…that my dining room will be half as beautiful as this one when I’m finished painting the trim and the ceiling.
Isn’t it gorgeous? And see, I told you those Eames chairs with dowel legs get me every time.
Thank you, Kate, for telling me about that room!

September 14, 2010 at 12:27 pmHubba hubba!
I don’t normally like Eames chairs (don’t hate me!), but they really work here. Love it!
I’m sure yours will be even better.

September 14, 2010 at 5:14 pmWhy not go with your basement stackable chairs? They have the roundness of the Eames, and what’s more, they’re free!

September 15, 2010 at 8:02 amI feel your pain about the chairs. I’ve loved the armless shell chair for about a decade and STILL want them for my dining room. BUT, I see them everywhere – AT house tours, every magazine, etc. So, for whatever strange reason, I feel like that makes them less special, but I still want them! Maybe I am worried they are a “trendy” think and will look dated in 5 years. But I think they are just a classic and timeless design and I tell myself if I’ve liked them all these years, I’ll continue to do so if I ever cave in and get them!

September 15, 2010 at 4:31 pmBeautiful photo. The eclectic mix of traditional, modern, and rustic elements add just the right amount of interest within a soothing palette. Good luck with your dining room!

September 16, 2010 at 3:38 amI did a double take when I first got to your page. The Farm house table with the Eames chairs with dowel legs is brilliant, but I would love to see these with your table!I cant wait to see how the trim comes out!

September 16, 2010 at 8:00 pmI’m so glad to see this pic. I have a beautiful Danish modern credenza and just picked up a ginormous rustic dining table the other day and was really not seeing how they were going to go together and what chairs would work.
I guess the lesson is that if you love it all, it will all work together. :)
Great inspiration pic. Now you’re gonna have to start saving up for those chairs!

November 21, 2010 at 11:00 pmLooks great! I too love those chairs, and I just scored the best bargain ever.. ok so mine aren’t genuine Eames, but I got the same ones for $80nz (on sale).. which is probably just over $70US, on sale. SO PLEASED with myself. Have been lusting after more expensive ones for soooo long!! More pics please :)

December 8, 2010 at 2:30 pmI LOOOOVE those chairs.
I’m wondering if you know of where I can find a ‘knock-off’ version, for a less expensive price. I know,,,,bad bad bad. I NEED them for my kitchen!
And I also love this wall-paper.
Do you have any good sources for wall-paper? I’m wanting to do a small project in my kitchen w/wallpaper.
