July 21, 2011 at 4:06 pmThat is super cool! Keep it on :)
Do you usually do your nails yourself?
How do you keep them so neat?

July 21, 2011 at 6:38 pmI’ve had a professional manicure maybe three times in my life? So yes, I do it myself. The results aren’t as good as the pro job, but I’m not too bad at it. I hardly ever have time these days though, so I usually don’t have any polish on.

July 21, 2011 at 4:06 pmSuper cute! And your rings are gorgeous! *swoon*

July 21, 2011 at 4:20 pmFun! I bought my first glitter nailpolish this past Christmas. The only problem – removing it! Mine is by Opi and I don’t know if that makes a difference, but it was the toughest nail polish I’ve ever removed. :[
Making it Lovely
July 21, 2011 at 6:38 pmI remember glitter polish as being difficult to remove. I guess I’ll find out if that’s the case with this one soon.
Jaimie
July 21, 2011 at 9:56 pmI have one, it’s actually much easier to remove. I think it’s because the glitter is super fine and since it’s sheer the polish isn’t as thick.

July 21, 2011 at 4:31 pmAwh! so cute! okay for the 36 year old me? hmmm….

July 21, 2011 at 5:08 pmCute! I (at 32) love glitter polish, such a fun little touch. :)
I heard a tip about removing it. Apparently the key is exposure time to the remover, so if you soak a cotton pad in remover, then hold it on the nail for a while or wrap bits of foil on your fingertips to kind of clamp it on there for a few minutes, it comes off much easier. I know foil hands sound odd but apparently it works.

July 21, 2011 at 6:40 pmI hope I don’t have to use foil! I’ve never even heard of that. I’ll see how the extra time plays out.

as far as removal goes, acetone polish remover is the key!

July 23, 2011 at 5:11 amWhat timing you have! I was at a doctor’s appointment yesterday where the receptionist’s nails were lavender-glitter, and I could not keep my eyes off them. So pretty and a contrast to my red nails. I leave there thinking “Hmm..must try glitter…or not?”
Then I see your post. Now I say “YES” to glitter.

July 24, 2011 at 2:05 pmUm, I would slap on another 2 coats of that glitter polish and live up that inner 9 year old. Surely a little sparkle never hurt anyone!

July 25, 2011 at 9:54 amI am loving the glitter! Last August, I went with glitter and oversized heart sparkles:

July 29, 2011 at 11:52 pmI love it. I like to use Martha’s glitter on my nails. I’ve decided I prefer it on my feet. There’s just something really fun about sparkles.

August 15, 2011 at 10:19 pmEssie Merino Cool really is…cool :) but it is not sold in Italy. Almost any cosmetic house has produced their own version of this “mud” color in the last 2 years, after Chanel’s Particulière. Mine is Mavala Mauve Cendré, which I am also wearing on my toes.
I also like to paint my nails a different color from my toes; while I usually put Mavala Rose Dust on my nails, today I am wearing Mavala Velvet.
These bottles are only 5ml so you can stock up on them and never ever have to throw them away half-empty & all dried up.
