I wanted black walls as a teenager, but I assure you these rooms show a much more sophisticated take on the color than I would have pulled off at 15.
-
My friend reviewed a Color Me Badd reunion show. (Yes, you read that correctly.) Then they called her fat.
-
These suspender curtains remind me of my kitchen window treatments, but with a little more whimsy.

An amazing illustrated recap of my Alt Summit panel.

For those of us afraid to commit to an actual terrarium. (I’d like to see these framed.)

Did you hear the news from Fab.com?
-
I’m not a sneakers type of gal, but even I’d wear these.

His and Hers, perfectly summed up.

It’s a set of books! It’s a toy! It’s both! And it’s pretty popular with my little ones.

February 17, 2012 at 12:09 pmOoh, I just ordered the terrarium postcards & yes, I do plan to frame them. Thanks! I’m still enjoying the Ideal Bookshelf print I found via a previous Honor Roll. I really like it when you point to your other writing because it’s given me lots of good ideas (like on how to do my hair & tie a scarf, LOL.)

February 17, 2012 at 12:50 pmI love that peak into the black and white kitchen!
On a different topic. I’m curious about the theory behind photo credits. I’m really surprised you don’t include them in your honor roll posts. Just curious!

February 18, 2012 at 3:48 amI link the photos to their posts though, and they always correspond with the first item in each list. I assumed that was clear, but perhaps it wasn’t?

February 17, 2012 at 2:08 pmLet’s be honest though – your friend was less than complimentary about the band being “sweaty” and “fat”, and her review was kind of poorly written. I’m not debating her content, but after such a poorly worded and poorly strung together hazing, his reply to her was very polite and restrained, and didn’t actually mention the word “fat” as you suggested. (And, just for the record – no, I’m not a fan, and wouldn’t attend a CMB concert for love nor money!) ;)

February 17, 2012 at 3:33 pmI agree whole-heartedly with Kim. That review was dismally written, and downright mean in parts. I too would never attend a CMB concert, I might not even brake if they ran out in front of my car, but the band’s reply was pretty bloody charming and civil.
And Nicole – I have a black kitchen, and everyone loves it! It’s been 6 years now and i’m considering changing it, but i can’t seem to do it. Go with your inner black :)

February 18, 2012 at 3:50 amTrue, Genie’s review was less than favorable. I’m not aiming for a call to arms here – the whole thing is just bizarre and surreal, and therefore worthy of sharing!

February 18, 2012 at 9:51 pmI made my headboard out of the same (Ikea) fabric as those suspender curtains! How random and fun! Thanks for sharing that link!

February 21, 2012 at 11:34 pmI wanted to go to that show so badly! My first concert was NKOTB. Tiffany opened.
