Oh they are the sweetest. And are those those paper plates that aren’t really paper? If so, I sent some to my sister as a Christmas present. Maybe I need to gift them to myself too?
Oh, I LOOOVE these. Nice captures, Nicole. You know, these are the photos you end up treasuring the most. It’s not the set up photo shoots…it’s these ones in the KITCHEN with daddy, and them being themselves.
What I love is that these are exactly the images you mean when you say “I wish my eyes could take photos.” :)
oh and PS. Nice job capturing these shots with the window in the background. So many of my favorite shots include windows, but the backlit image it’s something that I don’t always get right in my photography. those classes paying off? :)
It was a little tricky, yeah. I overexposed to compensate, which worked, and then I edited in Lightroom (mostly). These are the first photos I’ve worked with in Lightroom, and I think they turned out well!
Hey Nicole, sorry this is way off topic but could you please tell me where you got your white ceramic bust plant pots? I adore them and can’t find anything similar anywhere! Thanks, Jocelyn
You are in for such a treat! My Eleanor is almost 23, and she was the same kind of balls-to-the-wall pistol as your Eleanor. They grow beautifully and boldly into their name and their power. Brava you, Mom, for giving her wings. Best wishes!

March 27, 2013 at 1:51 pmThose are the ones! They’re melamine, or plain old plastic. We use them a lot for the kids.
