A look inside the Replacements, LTD warehouse.
It’s where dishes go to run away with the spoon. -
What caught your eye, Keiko? What do you see, Natalie? They’re busy, stylishly looking away.

Frere-Jones is suing Hoefler for his half of the type foundry company.

Spotted these new rugs from IKEA as a preview image on the site, but there’s no further information or individual photos yet. They look promising though, right?

It’s OK to change your life list.
I’m certain there are some things on my list I can reevaluate!

Beni Ourain rugs are everywhere these days. Do you have one? Want one?

The paint color trends for 2014 might be a good reference if you’re looking to update a room (or a whole house). I focused mainly on neutrals that are going to work well in a variety of spaces, but that are still beautiful and interesting.

January 17, 2014 at 2:14 pmThanks for the article on pain trends! My husband and I are renovating our kitchen and dining room at the moment and we’re hoping to paint this weekend. Timing could not be more perfect!

January 17, 2014 at 2:27 pmI spied those rugs at my local Ikea (i’m from Toronto though) so yours may already have them too! They also had similar pillow covers!

January 17, 2014 at 8:08 pmBE STILL MY HEART – I had no idea what Replacements, Ltd was and now am lightheaded! I am an avid Fiestaware lover and collector (starting with my mom’s vintage set) and the wall and size of the Fiesta wall literally made my head swim. My version of heaven. Oh. my. gosh.
I’m also digging paint colors recently. Our living room is eggplant now (slightly by accident) and it was a surprise to find that color trending this year! We’ll be moving in the next couple of months and I’m craving navys, grays, and greeny-blues for our next house.

January 18, 2014 at 7:45 amThose rugs… really??!! That style is exactly what makes my in-laws’ home full of beautiful Empire antiques look stuffy and old-fashioned. I can’t believe they are actually fashionable again… Ugh.

January 18, 2014 at 4:23 pmI am SO glad to know that gray is still acceptable since I’ve been trying to decide between 4 huge swaths of color painted on my living room wall for, oh…almost a year now. I guess I should hurry up and choose before the 2015 color trends show that I’m behind the times!

January 21, 2014 at 2:33 pmThose rugs (and the above mentioned pillow covers) are in my local Ikea….but, I am in Frankfurt, Germany. They are great though! Lots of different sizes, colors, patterns etc. I purchased only a pillow cover for now as we will moving in the next few months and it’s hard to know what our ‘rug needs’ will really be. But, yeah- I think it’s a great, higher quality addition to the Ikea offerings.
