A house gets a fresh coat of white paint. In every room.
Are you feeling the urge to do this lately? Everything on Pinterest is indeed white, white, white. -
America is exporting most of the fish we catch, and importing most of what we eat. It makes little sense, until you realize that “we want our food cheap and easy.”

The nurseries for Eleanor and August were both done with neutral grey/beige walls, so I’m thinking it’s time for something different in this house for baby number three. Except I’m not settled on what that’s going to be quite yet!

July 11, 2014 at 4:28 pmWe just bought our first house and before moving in, I painted every wall and ceiling white (the ubiquitous Benjamin Moore Super White in matte finish). It is my very first time painting anything white, let alone a whole house. Part of me loves it and part of me is wildly unsure. That said, the light in the house is incredible and even my unobservant husband remarked on how bright this house feels. Also, I’m realizing that having white walls is a lovely way to get to know a house–it feels very much like a blank slate with very little interfering with my ability to observe and plan.

July 12, 2014 at 7:18 amWe just moved into a 1950s split-level ranch. I couldn’t even cope with what to decide to paint the walls so we went all white. Even when I was looking at white swatches I couldn’t cope! So I went with ceiling white. The color of the strip of white that laid between the swatches. I’m not saying I’m 100% behind it though in our home. It looks great in photos, yes. But in real life I often worry it’s a bit sterile.

July 13, 2014 at 10:24 amI just painted my guest bedroom/office white! And because I’ve painted so much color in my house, white felt like a really daring choice. Ha! Anyway, I love it, and I’m so happy I did it.

July 13, 2014 at 10:33 amAfter living in apartments with all white walls for years, when I moved into my home, I immediately painted each room a different color. Nothing too vibrant but nothing tan and nothing all white. While I admire the clean look in other’s homes, all white just isn’t for this gal – at least at this point in my life. :)
That being said, deciding what colors to paint is a hella agonizing decision! ;-)
