Minnie Mortimer’s library/dining room has been a favorite of mine for years. If I wasn’t going with the whole ‘oak, oak, more oak’ thing right now, I’d jump all over that paint color for our built-in bookshelves.

August 30, 2014 at 9:31 pmThat Anthro article was hysterical! Thanks for sharing!!! I’ve often wanted to trombone myself to sleep, but didn’t want the hassle of having to get up & put it back in its case.

August 31, 2014 at 9:37 pmI have a confession….I marathon read your entire blog over the course of two weeks. All 600+ pages. Just felt the need to “get to know you.” And, boy, am I a fan!
You mentioned that your first bungalow lacked light. I face the same dilemma in my small home. Windows face west and there’s little to no light. Was wondering if you could address how to choose paint colors for this particular problem….should I go light or dark (wall colors, furnishings, etc)
Thanks!
