My Life Pregnancy

Almost

Home stretch! It doesn’t feel like it’s almost time, but I’m 38 weeks along already.

38 Weeks Pregnant

We’re expecting a boy, and every stranger that has put forth a guess has guessed correctly. “It’s like a basketball!” they say. “All belly!”

p.s. Me at similar points with the first two pregnancies, here and here.

You look vibrant and absolutely fantastic (which is do hard to do when it’s not your first pregnancy).
Yes, indeed that’s a boy belly :) I had a girl first, and then 3 boys and the last 3 times it’s like there is a neon flashing sign shouting ‘I’m male!’ Best wishes for a healthy and safe delivery.

You look beautiful. Definitely all belly.
Can’t wait to see baby pics and also to find out what you name him!!!
We had our first, a little boy named Otis only 2 months ago. You’d think we named him Satan by the reactions we got. Anyway, I’ve always been intrigued as we too have a cat named Mabel.
All the very best for the safe arrival of your beautiful baby boy.

You look great! I loved wearing stripes while pregnant – I remember when my yoga teacher said you could tell I had dropped because the stripes went in a different direction! It’s funny about the belly – I have two girls and carried “basketball style” both times. If I ever have a third, I’m curious if I’d carry a boy differently.

      September 13, 2014 at 9:21 pm

Yeah, I don’t see how your body would carry differently based on the baby’s sex. People seem to put a lot of faith in it though!

You look great! I’m 32 weeks with my second boy and I have the same basketball belly. It’s quite a dramatic look in profile! I hope you get a chance to rest a bit. (ha!)

The profile is crazy. People keep telling me that from behind, I don’t look pregnant. (Until they see me walk/waddle, at least!)

Hi! My LO is 4.5 months and I just wanted to let you know I have a nursing-friendly store so when your LO is born, if you’re ever shopping for gifts or home decor in Forest Park, feel free to stop in and nurse in a comfy seat :) I nurse here, so I love to reach out to other (soon-to-be) nursing moms to show support! Love your blog!

Yeah, I was all up front like that, too, and I had a girl. Everyone said it was a boy, and one lady actually argued with me. (Um, I had amnio.) So, just saying that, while you look cute, where you carry really has nothing to do with gender.
