I’m a more patient mom with enough sleep. A more creative designer, a better partner, a better everything. For me, getting enough rest means not pushing myself to stay up and do one more thing because if I can just get myself into bed at a reasonable time, I can usually fall asleep pretty easily. If you’re someone that has a harder time of it though (like my better half), Sleep Number has some great tips for better sleep.
We’re loving our new mattress, and I’m pretty into checking the SleepIQ™ feedback that the bed provides. I knew from talking to Brandon that he doesn’t sleep as soundly as I do, but look at the difference in our data. And this is a big improvement for him! He used to get even less rest before.
Those numbers are from a few weeks ago, and it’s cool to see in the app how they’ve improved and changed over time. Brandon’s paying attention to his patterns and implementing some helpful sleep solutions, using that information to find better sleep.
I was thinking about it and I realized that we’re opposites with other furniture too. I love our teal couch in the living room because it’s deep and the cushions are so soft. He prefers much more firm seating, like our beige armchairs or the black and white sofa in the library. Having a mattress that adjusts on each side has been really great for us! I keep my side at 40 and he’s most comfortable at 65 — a big difference. It’s a fantastic bed for couples, and they can tailor the right solution for you in store.

July 10, 2017 at 6:11 pmThe one at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, MD. I could really use this bed to help with my chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia (yes, you can have both together), and joint/back issues from an autoimmune disease that causes my body to attack my cartilage and blood vessels/arteries/veins.

July 10, 2017 at 6:17 pmThe Store locator shows that the Vancouver Mall in Camas is the closest to me In Washington State! We have never had a sleep number bed. I think that better sleep is soo important for your Health. Recent studies are saying that even now to prevent dementia and age related illnesses require good proper sleep. So my reason for wanting this is for that reason. Thank you for offering this giveaway.

July 10, 2017 at 7:04 pmGilbert, AZ! In the last few years I’ve become a pretty restless sleeper so maybe a new mattress would help!

July 10, 2017 at 7:21 pmThere are actually a few Sleep Number stores in my area. The closest one would be Buckhead – Lenox Road, Atlanta, but I’d probably go to Dunwoody-Perimeter instead because I don’t like going into Buckhead too often haha. But anyway, my fiance and I are starting to look for a house. I have a full-size Tempurpedic right now but it might get to be a bit crowded once we’re sharing it all the time (we don’t live together right now). Maybe something more in a queen or king size would be to our liking!
Sandra Preti
July 10, 2017 at 7:42 pmForest Hills, Queens is the closest store to me, but I live in NYC so there are a bunch in the area! I really need a new mattress, my current one is over 10 years old and I’m not getting quality sleep on it anymore. I would love to win this one!

July 10, 2017 at 7:55 pmWe are in the market to replace our 15+ year old mattress but it will be tough because we are definitely on opposite ends of the firmness scale. Thankfully we have a store just a few miles away at the Shops at Fallen Timbers!

July 10, 2017 at 8:49 pmNo store in DC, so out to the MD suburbs we go. I generally sleep fine, but my husband hasn’t slept through the night in a few years, claiming it’s the mattress. But at least he hasn’t resorted to sleeping on the floor, like he does in some guest rooms we visit.
Jessica
July 10, 2017 at 8:52 pmLike you, I sleep pretty well, but my husband’s sleep is TERRIBLE. I’d love something that might help with that. I guess I’d have to travel about 45 minutes to check out the mattresses in store, but that seems worth it!
Miriam Callahan
July 10, 2017 at 8:53 pmIn Upper Manhattan, but I’d probably go to the Brooklyn location since it’s on the subway! My husband’s a back sleeper and he can sleep through anything and everything– I’m a stomach sleeper and I’m pretty sure the Princess and the Pea was based on my life. Totally different sleep styles!

July 11, 2017 at 12:10 amBellevue Square! I’m actually in need of two new mattresses — ours are so old and uncomfortable! I’ll need to head to your store soon — my husband prefers a soft mattress and I prefer a firm one, so this would be perfect for us!

July 11, 2017 at 12:29 amBellevue Square store. Our mattress must be getting old and we have back/neck issues that make us want to customize. Thanks!
Kristen D.
July 11, 2017 at 3:07 amClosest store is in Seaside, CA. My husband and I both have some on-and-off back issues, but the more pressing issue is our infant (and her 2 and 4 year old siblings), who has been waking us all night – sometimes as frequently as every half an hour! A decent mattress (ours was a hand-me-down and is over 10 years old) would solve this issue, right??? (Wink, wink).
Abigail R Jacob
July 11, 2017 at 7:36 amMy nearest store is in Lexington, KY. I’m plagued by sleep issues. I require a certain amount of cushiness to fall asleep but I suspect a firmer mattress overall would lead to better sleep.

July 11, 2017 at 10:14 amThe closest store to me is Grand Junction, CO. I’d love to win, because my husband and I currently don’t have a bed or mattress! We are just back in the US after 6 months abroad on a thru hike of New Zealand. We had to pare down so much to leave the country that our old mattress was one of the first things to go….starting back up a new mattress is an important first step :)

July 11, 2017 at 10:17 amWe’re closest to a store in NJ but I’d probably go to the King of Prussia location since the mall is where we go to stock up on Nespresso pods :) Our issue is needing a mattress, period, to set up a guest room bed! We just moved into a bigger house and have an extra bedroom for the first time, so I’d love to trick it out.

July 11, 2017 at 1:38 pmBellevue, WA. I am a light sleeper and usually wake up tired. I’m sure it has nothing to do with having 2 young kids but I’m sure having a newer (current one is ~12 years old) and adjustable mattress would be helpful.

July 11, 2017 at 1:53 pmMeridian Mall is our closest location.
My husband and I are newlyweds after finding each other after failed marriages on match.com! We have so much in common and so many things are compatable…..with the exception of our sleep! I’m warm, he’s cold. I toss and then to settle, which keeps him up as our 20+ year mattress (from my first marriage! Esch!) practically bounces with each breath! What a lovely possibility to win such a prize.

July 11, 2017 at 5:18 pmThe closest store to me is on Polaris Pkwy in Columbus, OH. We’ve had our current mattress since before we were married and in September we celebrate 16 years of marriage. We know we need a new mattress, but we always manage to put off buying one because the kids need a new bed/braces/sports equipment/camp or the dishwasher/refrigerator breaks. There’s always a reason. July 12, 2017 at 3:17 pmI have seen the sleep number store in my local mall near Harrisburg, PA (Capital City Mall) and have always wanted to try it out. I feel like I can’t get comfortable so it takes me awhile to fall asleep. Then, I toss & turn and wake up with aching hips, feet and sometimes, a sore back. My husband and I can never agree on the temperature (he’s always hot, I’m always cold) so it sounds like a sleep number mattress would solve all of these issues!
