Sometimes I think I have crazy taste. Like with this chair. I’m a little in love with it, even though I know that print is bananas. No, I’m more than just a little in love with it. I want it. Very badly.
Getting a sneak preview of how cute my kiddos would look sitting in it didn’t help.

June 6, 2011 at 3:15 pmYou’re right, Eleanor does look great sat in that chair! And August looks jealous that he isn’t. You’re not alone, I love bright patterns too and it looks sooo comfortable.

June 6, 2011 at 3:26 pmI don’t think your taste is crazy at all – unless you mean crazy awesome. I’ve loved this chair from afar and keep trying to figure out how I can justify it. Would be so beautiful as a boudoir chair in a window, or in a quiet nook of a library/den.

June 6, 2011 at 7:39 pmI have loved this chair since I first laid eyes on it. I dream of putting an addition on our house creating the perfect room to showcase this chair. It would be a room just for me and me alone. dreamy.

June 9, 2011 at 4:44 pmThe chair is amazing.
I’m participating in the anthropologie/urbanoutfitters boycott until they stop stealing from artists/etsy, but let’s be honest, I’d hardly be in the market for a $1500 chair, even if I weren’t.
Still! It’s gorgeous.

June 10, 2011 at 2:06 pmFirst off, I happen to love everything about this chair AND I love the style that you are so well-known for. Having said that, are you a Gemini by any chance, Nicolle? I can totally understand why you think you are crazy. This chair is not consistent with your usual taste at all. And it’s ironic that you have fallen in love with this colorful, crazy, feminine, all-together very un-subtle chair so soon after posting your observation that your tastes have remained so consistent over the years! Welcome to my world! I have two creative personas and both of them vary wildly. I find it really hard to decorate when I am pulled in two style directions. But if anyone can figure it out, it would be you. Have fun.

August 3, 2011 at 8:41 pmNicole,
I love the chair and I know you could fix that rip. A little stitch or a creative patch. It is such a happy chair…that print is an explosion. Can you find some of that fabric to slipcover or reupholster a 2nd hand chair? After all, I know
you are just as thrifty and crafty too.
