Ok, you look AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!
I’m new to your blog and so happy that I found you. I’ve loved looking back in the archives.
And now to tune in to see your baby? well, that’s just icing……lovely, lovely icing.
Sending out happy vibes for a wonderful birth:)
And by the way, I’m sure you know that first babies are often late. Mine was 10 days late. But when she was ready, she was ready, and the labor was quick and easy. I hope it’s the same with you!
Both my girls were two weeks overdue — and not to scare you, but they popped out as 10-pounders. We joked that they spent those last two weeks, laid up in style, just getting fat and sassy. :) Looking forward to “meeting” the little miss.
The same thing happened to me. There’s nothing stranger than watching your due date come and go after you’ve been anxiously awaiting it for so many many months….
Savor these last few days! Your life is about cross a threshold!

My little guy was a week overdue — I so understand how you feel — I hope you have a terrific birth!
Ten Months Pregnant! Been there, done that! Bit the head off everyone who nagged me about it–like I was staying PG on purpose. Oh yeah, I tried walking, salads, and sex and while they all had their merits, my little one came when she damn-well felt like it. And what a Beau-Ti-Ful little (big) thing she was, and still is! Enjoy what little time you have left with your big round tummy–seriously!
Wow that’s a long time to wait!!
I was two weeks late and I was my mom’s first child.
I keep checking your blog every day to see if today is the day, haha.
Btw, I saw that you won the Glam network living category award, so congrats!

I’ve been where you’ve been – twice! Both my toddler son (19 months old) and infant daughter (just 5 weeks old) were born at exactly 41 weeks. Hang in there and good luck with the delivery!
oh, sweetheart. do I know how you are feeling. My youngest is three today but in an instant I am back to how I was feeling three years ago yesterday. One last night of chocolate in a bubble bath before mommy time hits?
You look great! My daughter was born at almost 42 weeks, and I am due tomorrow with baby number 2. I do not anticipate having him tonight or tomorrow, so I’ll be joining you in the post-date ranks. I feel patient, too. I just wish the rest of my family did and would stop calling me multiple times a day. :) But the any-minute-ness now of the whole thing is kind of weird. It is soooooo worth it when those babies come! It won’t be long now. Best wishes for a wonderful birth experience.
she’s just trying to give you time to work on your porch, because as I’m sure you’ve been told, you won’t have much time nor energy once she gets here!!!
(and remember, despite how you may be feeling right now, she WILL come.)

I agree with everyone else…you are adorable. Just wondering what your diaper bag looks like? That was a big thing when I was pregnant, I refuse to carry an ugly diaper bag. Unfortunately after the second baby my fashion sense vanished…who has the time? :)
Good luck with the delivery!

HUGELY pregnant, I was checking out @ the grocery store & the bag boy asked when I was due. “Friday”, I answered. He made an encouraging comment about Friday being right around to which I responded “No, LAST FRIDAY, I think I’m in labor right now!”. You should have seen his face… priceless! He hustled me outta there as fast as lightning and 12 hours later I was laying in bed nursing a baby…. (and i gotta say it too, that photo is beyond adorable!)

April 21, 2009 at 4:57 pm
i meant he said “friday is right around the corner” duh
Don’t worry- she’ll be here before you know it! You look so great, too! Are you resting or trying to frantically nest:-). I did way too much of the latter in the days leading up to my little one’s birth!
You look so darn cute! Try to sneak some extra sleep time in before she does arrive…you will need it. Can’t wait for her to make her debut on your blog.
I am a huge fan of your blog and wish you and your cute hubby a speedy, healthy delivery. I was a week past due with my first which was welcomed as we were renovating our new (very old) house – I went into labour whilst painting the stairs (gas mask and all) not really recommended. Take good care of yourself now and rest as much as you can – soon you will have a beautiful babe that will demand every inch of you!
Nicole, every time I see a new post from you pop up in my reader, I anxiously click on it thinking it might be “the post” announcing your baby! Hang in there. :) What an awesome photo.
How fun! I check in every day just to see! I was 41 weeks, too- induced in the end- argh!
Anyhoo, enjoy this time- you do look great and I LOVE the hair- is it new-ish???

oh my goodness you are so cute, you look great. hopefully she comes soon its the waiting that’s the hardest..
After 5 1/2 years, I can’t remember exactly whether she was early or late. Hubby says she was a week early.
It still felt like it took forever for her to get here.

I want to echo all the previous comments….you look gorgeous and baby will come. Enjoy these last precious moments of silent waiting – to me it seemed like an intensely close time between my unborn daughter and myself. Wishing you well.
That pic of you is all kinds of cute! I predict two more days. The 23rd. After dinnertime.

You look great! I actually felt great (if absolutely enormous) until the end. They were going to induce me at 41 weeks, but then my substitute doctor realized the baby was potentially 12 pounds and advised me to get a c-section. (She ended up being 10 lbs.) Regardless, she had not even dropped at 41 weeks. How long will your doctor let you wait?
Oh my! I looked like a bloated up mad woman at 1 week overdue – you look fabulous! Im convinced (no scientific basis at all!) that overdue babies are too happy & chilled out to be born yet & this makes for contented little newborns.
My doctor won’t let me go past 42 weeks, so I’ll be induced if I don’t have the baby by next Tuesday. Obviously I’m hoping she’ll make her appearance before then!

you look great! my son was supposed to be induced – he was 9 days late – and i didn’t want that. so i went for a combination of hot fudge sundaes, spicy wings and accupuncture. That did the trick!! we avoided induction. GOOD LUCK!!
All I can say is just try not to get impatient and enjoy these last few days together before you life changes forever. Hope all goes well for you.

(ps have you tried castor oil? I did it for both pregnancies and labour started within hours)
Confession: I think it’s kind of funny that everyone keeps saying how great I look. I mean, I really appreciate it, but I certainly don’t feel like I’m looking great these days! I feel huge and awkward, and I’m wearing stretchy pants in that photo (the horror).
But you know, thanks! ;)
And the necklace is a few years old – I think I bought it at Express.

I just gave birth a few weeks ago. I was 42 weeks and 2 days. Technically, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists does not consider you over due until 42 weeks. I only mention it in case you feel any pressure to induce. Good luck. Hang in there. Your little girl will come when she is ready.
Well, I wasn’t going to say it, but I’m pretty sure I felt the world counter-rotate when I noticed you were wearing pants! Pants or no, you still look great!
You look beautiful. Wishing you a safe and speedy delivery whenever your little girl is ready.

Stretchy pants, ha! You look great anyway! I think it’s your knack of looking “put-together” that we’re all envying. If it were me, I’d be wearing whatever was most comfortable for sitting on the couch. Actually, that’s what I’m wearing now and I’m not even pregnant!
You look so great!!! Good luck with everything and I’m sure she’ll be here before you know it. I love that you are calmly waiting for her arrival. I know several people who have been past their due date and they start demanding to be induced…but you seem so peaceful and it really shows.

As a fellow woman who was overdue (42 weeks for both my kids) I vote that the ‘normal’ gestation period be changed to 42 weeks!…Also, as others have said, she will come when she is ready. All the very best for the coming weeks I’m sure you, your husband and family/friends will be over the moon when your little one decides to make her appearance. xox

i do love this picture! and you will too in like 3 years when your little one starts to saying “i can do it myself!” you will look back on this picture and say things like..”man i wish you were a baby again!”
yeah although you feel akward..this picture is PERFECTION! :)
btw..my khalil was 1 week and 1 day “late” so 41 weeks and 1 day…so feel “good” that you arent the only one “overdue” i never trusted the whole date thing anyway…
Oh I’m so excited for you. There is nothing like becoming a mommy. You are going to love it. Take a long walk and then if you can stand it have sex:) That really helps.
Oh you poor thing! But you still look so cute and stylish!! hang in there and try to stay as comfortable as possible. I know that is almost impossible at this point though. {hugs}

Both of my kids were exactly 3.5 weeks over due. We joke that they enjoyed the spa-like, warm environment so well they just didn’t want to leave. Since they’re now 26 and 14, I really miss being pregnant. Enjoy this time – you’ll look back on it fondly — guaranteed!

April 22, 2009 at 2:22 amStretchy pants, ha! You look great anyway! I think it’s your knack of looking “put-together” that we’re all envying. If it were me, I’d be wearing whatever was most comfortable for sitting on the couch. Actually, that’s what I’m wearing now and I’m not even pregnant!

April 22, 2009 at 6:10 amYou look so great!!! Good luck with everything and I’m sure she’ll be here before you know it. I love that you are calmly waiting for her arrival. I know several people who have been past their due date and they start demanding to be induced…but you seem so peaceful and it really shows.

April 22, 2009 at 6:41 amAs a fellow woman who was overdue (42 weeks for both my kids) I vote that the ‘normal’ gestation period be changed to 42 weeks!…Also, as others have said, she will come when she is ready. All the very best for the coming weeks I’m sure you, your husband and family/friends will be over the moon when your little one decides to make her appearance. xox

April 22, 2009 at 8:06 amBoth of my kids were exactly 3.5 weeks over due. We joke that they enjoyed the spa-like, warm environment so well they just didn’t want to leave. Since they’re now 26 and 14, I really miss being pregnant. Enjoy this time – you’ll look back on it fondly — guaranteed!
