Think pink, if you want that quelque chose!
I tried something different and painted the images for today’s post in gouache, rather than presenting them as a digital collage like I usually would. I was more successful with some of the illustrations than others, (that shirt is the woooooorst!) but it was good practice. I feel confident in my ability to draw, so it’s the painting that I’m trying to improve.
Anyway. Think pink! Think pink, and the world is rosy-red!

January 13, 2015 at 9:43 amCute, Nicole! I wanted to note that, if you upload images of artwork as a png instead of as a jpg, the colors and resolution might show a bit nicer on the web. A graphic designer recently taught me this; and I thought it might be worth noting.
Cheers! :)

January 13, 2015 at 1:28 pmThis is really wonderful. You are very talented. I realized after seeing this that my surprising attraction to pink several years ago emanated from seeing your success with pink in your décor. It never seemed babyish or too little girls room. Always sophisticated and modern.
