*A technical note on the photography: I had been using my 24-70mm f/2.8L lens for these photos. It’s a very nice (and very expensive) lens, so I’ve been trying to force myself to use it more often. Today, I shot with the 35mm f/1.4L lens, and yep. Still my favorite. Still the best I’ve ever owned. If you’re looking to invest in a Canon lens, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Calvin is so adorable and he looks like a peaceful soul. I look forward to these photos each month and love to look at E and August’s also. Such fun to see the similarities and the differences in siblings and the nuances of their personalities at each stage.
