I’ll be taking a photo of August sitting in the Eames rocker and wearing his pin each month until he’s two years old. I also took monthly photos of his older sister, Eleanor, until she turned two.

January 9, 2013 at 5:50 amOh my goodness, those toes are so precious! I can’t believe he’s almost TWO! It seems like just yesterday that Eleanor was finishing up her 2-year portrait, and now it’s August’s turn!

January 9, 2013 at 9:50 amThe toes!! Cuteness overload! I can’t believe he’s already almost two. You’ll have to come up with some with another monthly photo series , I don’t know if I can take the withdrawal. Maybe the cats will pose for you?

January 9, 2013 at 11:16 amWhat a dear! Two next month?? Wow.
I spy The Infinite Jest on the shelf behind him. My husband read it–and has wanted me to do so for years, but I haven’t. It’s an undertaking. Have both of you?

January 9, 2013 at 1:23 pmI like how the book binding in the 22 month photo is situated in such a way as to give him a little halo.

January 9, 2013 at 1:30 pmNicole, I wish I’d had the creativity and brainpower to start something like this when Nathaniel was born. I love seeing how August has changed, sitting in the exact same spot. My son turned two on August 6th. Sometimes I look at him and can’t believe it’s the little baby I held. Bittersweet, for sure. Although, I have to say that he’s SO MUCH more fun now!
See you in a couple of weeks! xo

January 9, 2013 at 1:46 pmYour little man is so handsome! =)
Kids grow up within a blink of an eye! They start to become independent and everything else. It’s amazing to watch other people’s children develop since I don’t have any of my own. I will some day, but not at this moment.
I hope you’re enjoying your new year!

January 9, 2013 at 1:56 pmHe is so adorable. My younger son is 2.5 and he still does the pointy toes, which reminds me that he’s still got some baby left in him. :)

January 9, 2013 at 4:52 pmHow time flies! I remember reading your blog when your daughter was born :) Handsome little man. I’m 3 months pregnant with my first and I would love to do something like this for the baby’s scrapbook. A beautiful way to capture time.
